Industry Leaders Gather at the "Export Champions Share Their Stories" Panel

"What sets us apart in the competition is not just our product quality, but our responsiveness, foresight, and the depth of technical and commercial support we offer," Gayret stated. "The robust support model we have established, both commercially and technically, provides a major competitive edge in export markets. The fact that international clients choose us over local alternatives is one of the most tangible indicators of how our corporate culture translates into business outcomes."

Export leaders from the glass industry came together at the "Export Champions Share Their Stories" panel to analyze the ongoing shifts in global markets and assess Türkiye's competitive strength. Attended by leading representatives of the Turkish glass industry, the panel addressed the current state of the sector, the transformation within export markets, and future expectations.

Moderated by Başar Tırpancı, Vice President of Sales at Türkiye Şişe ve Cam Fabrikaları A.Ş., the panel featured GCA General Manager Dr. Abdullah Gayret, along with Can Dervişoğlu, Chairman of the Board at Rapsodi Dekor (Rakle); Hilmi Yıldız, Chairman of the Board at Yıldız Cam; Mustafa Akkoç, General Manager of Dora Glass; Nurettin Okandan, General Manager of Okandan Cam; and Semavi Yorgancılar, Chairman of the Board at Yorglass.

The Service Model is Becoming As Decisive As the Product in Exports

Sharing his insights during the panel, GCA General Manager Dr. Abdullah Gayret pointed out that competitive dynamics in global markets have significantly transformed. He stated that today's clients look beyond just quality products and competitive pricing; instead, they prefer solution partners who understand their business processes, anticipate their needs, and contribute to their growth. Gayret explained that GCA has reshaped its export model in line with this approach over recent years, adding that digitalization, operational agility, and a customer-centric service mindset have played a vital role in the company's international expansion.

Highlighting that GCA focuses on generating value across a broad spectrum-ranging from technical support and after-sales services to market development and customer experience, Gayret emphasized that strong business partnerships and trust-based relationships form the foundation of long-term success. He added that a significant portion of their international clientele prefers GCA over local suppliers due to this approach, proving that product quality is no longer the sole differentiating factor in competition.

"Lasting Success in Exports Requires Creating Value Beyond the Product"

GCA General Manager Dr. Abdullah Gayret concluded his remarks with the following statements:

"Today, competition in global markets has evolved far beyond traditional metrics like cost and capacity. Clients now prefer working with business partners who contribute to their business processes, understand their needs, and co-create value, rather than just suppliers offering quality products. At GCA, we build our entire strategy on customer-centricity, strong collaborations, and long-term, trust-based relationships. We manage customer experience holistically from sales and production to planning and shipment-operating as an organization that listens, understands, and takes prompt action.

Sustainability, digitalization, and customer experience will shape the future of exports. We believe that Türkiye, with its robust manufacturing infrastructure and agile structure, possesses significant advantages for this transition. Ultimately, we believe lasting success is only achievable through an ecosystem where all industry stakeholders move together, generate shared value, and build trust-based relationships."
